We spent the first couple of nights at a HoJo's. First time I've ever been in a hotel with bunk beds. Fortunately, there *was* also a regular queen bed in the room.
Then we moved to the Marriott, seen here from Coronado Island: it's the two curved buildings bracketing the low, circular building. The second and third pictures were taken from the other side of the hotel, across the street at the light rail station.
We were on the 14th floor (actually, the 13th, as there was no floor numbered "13"). As you might imagine, given my feelings about heights, the balcony was rather wasted on me. Was a spectacular view, though.
Housekeeping had fun with our furry travelling companions. Hannah (on the left) came from the zoo, Buggly has been a long-time member of the family. Buggly's hat was something Maggie found at the con. Apparently one of the maids thought they would be more comfortable on the bed than on the bedside table.
The convention center was next to the hotel (still is, I assume). A set of pictures from Coronado Island showing the full length of the convention center and a single shot from the light rail station focusing on the tall end.
Speaking of Coronado Island, here's the Coronado del Mar hotel. It's got a nice beach, where we frolicked in the waves and collected sunburns. It's also got a nice ice cream store.
